ECN 102 – Introductory Macroeconomics (3 credits) Introduction to concepts and methods of economic analysis. Emphasis on such macroeconomic topics as gross domestic product, unemployment, money, and theory of national income.  ECN 101 or ECN 102  is required for Mechanical Engineering students only!

WRT 105 – Studio 1: Practices of Academic Writing (3 credits) Study and practice of writing processes, including critical reading, collaboration, revision, editing, and the use of technologies.  Focuses on the aims, strategies, and conventions of academic prose, especially analysis and argumentation.

Social Science or Humanity Elective – all majors may choose an elective from the Social Sciences or Humanities Division, except for EE/CE/ME. You can choose an elective and register yourself through MySlice starting August 1-5. You will receive more instructions about self-registration to your syr.edu email address.
