Supply Chain Development Manager, Ørsted

"I didn't go down a traditional engineering path, instead working in manufacturing and supply chain after Syracuse University. Even so, the problem solving skills I learned in my coursework and labs allowed me to approach manufacturing/process issues, people conflict, and supply chain roadblocks with an analytical approach that I truly believe came from my educational background. Specifically, the lab writing skills I learned in Dr. Cadwell's lab, and a lot of the research experience I had (in Dr. Nangia's lab, Dr. Monroe's lab, and at the University of Michigan during a summer REU) helped me learn how to objectively approach a situation, perform root cause analysis, and articulate my approach to an outside audience. I would say those were some of the more directly transferrable skills."
