New Students

Engineering and computer science (ECS) students will begin receiving bi-weekly emails from the ECS Student Success team beginning in mid-July with information to help them prepare for the start of their first semester.

New Student Checklist

All new students at Syracuse University need to complete these required tasks.

Additionally, listed below are items that you will need to complete for Engineering and Computer Science by the start of the semester. Please monitor your @syr.edu email regularly throughout the summer for more information.

  • Keep AP Scores info
  • Complete First-Term Enrollment Selections (FTES), see your email for instructions – Due: June 30th.
  • Follow @LifeInECS and @EngineeringSU on Instagram for information about upcoming events, engagement opportunities, and more
  • Know Your Advising Team
  • Check your @syr.edu email address daily
